Sign to restrict shark trade

At the recent CITES conference, proposals to restrict trade in eight shark species – spiny dogfish, porbeagle, oceanic whitetip, scalloped hammerhead, great hammerhead, smooth hammerhead, dusky and sandbar sharks – failed to receive the required two-thirds majority vote.
